Returning from a mysterious trip to Romania, where the majestic Bran Castle captivated attention with its enigmatic architecture, I found myself at a moment when reality intertwined with an exceptional sound. Exiting the castle, as the walls of Count Dracula’s Castle gave way to the outside world, a melody unfolded to my ears, echoing through the mobile phone of one of our small group’s participants. It was the music of the band Riven by Ravens, and their single ‘Say What You Mean’ resonated like an echo in the air. This American hard rock project, born in the shadow of California’s Central Valley, turned out to be an extraordinary soundtrack for my newfound perception.
